A Touch of Gold

Baubles
plus a little Parisian chic (YSL Y-Mail patent clutch, $245) equals just the right amount of glitz. The metallic trend will not disappear this holiday season, not if I can help it! From a delicate chain across your ankle (Balenciaga stilettos, $94) or baubles around your neck (necklace, $12) to shimmering thread at night (Express evening bag, $16), you'll always look glamourous in gold.

YSL Star Belt

From Spring 2008

YSL Star Belt

It may be straight off the runway...I think the only person with a small enough waist to wear it is the model above!

E2

We recently started to see this label E2 in the shop. It is designed by Michele and Olivier Chatenet who are based in Paris. They are known for taking fine vintage items and reworking them to give each piece (like Hermes, Lanvin, and Chanel) a modern, yet authentic bohemian look. I think it is a neat idea, especially since the updated garments become completely one of a kind. Yesterday we received this...

How fitting!

Big Kiss

YSL's pristine lip print silk blazer! Can anyone recall what season this is from? I know Yves Saint Laurent did a "Hot Lips" print in the seventies, but this one seems like it might be by Stefano Pilati, I don't think it's from the Tom Ford era (too cheery) but what do I know?!
