The models looked gorgeous in shades of silver gray, plum, and cobalt blue, but Lauren and I both agreed that our favorite part of the show (which was most excellently styled by
Liana) was the shoes, provided Newbury Street neighbors Luna Boston.Labels: Boston, Fashion Week, news

The Closet is off to Scottsdale for a resale conference (and warmer weather.) We hope to meet some fellow shop owners, be inspired, and of course do a bit of shopping. Stay tuned...also not to worry, shop will be open as usual.Labels: news

Did anyone get a chance to check out the special Gap Design Editions collection in collaboration with the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund?! The pieces were designed by Alexander Wang, Vena Cava ($88 for a dress that would cost $400+ at Barneys, yes please!), and Albertus Swanepoel. I think they are pretty awesome for basics with a twist (especially since I've never been the biggest fan of boring old khaki.) If you order online keep in mind the Vena Cava dresses run very small. Happy Shopping!Labels: Alexander Wang, news, Vena Cava

The Closet is Boston's finest consignment clothing store for men and women, celebrating over 30 years in business. We are located at 175 Newbury Street between Dartmouth and Exeter.
The Closet accepts designer items (by appointment) that are no more than 1 or 2 years old (with some exceptions of course). Merchandise should be seasonal and in excellent condition. Our consignment period is 60 days, sales are split 50/50, and we mail out checks every month! We are a bit particular about what we accept, so please call 617.536.1919 with questions regarding consignment.
The items displayed may only be purchased in store as it is important to us that you are able to see the item in person. Sorry, but we don't ship!
