A Modern Mary Poppins

Spring is all about mixing fabric, proportion, color, and texture to create a unique look for yourself. Although we stuck to black and white this time, I think it was a success! Ms. Poppins wears a turban hat by Yamamoto, Ann Demeulemeester's cotton print tank, a Margiela ribbon cardigan, voluminous silk Lanvin skirt, and a pair of Costume National sandals. She is carrying a patent Armani bag, and she means business!

Martin Margiela is one of a kind in the fashion world. In addition to his unique approach to design and marketing (or lack thereof) I really appreciate his tendency to create items that even the most non-crafty person such as myself could reproduce. Like these glitter covered shoes!
