Urban Jungle

Here is another potential designer DIY, this time in the form of a modified Prada paint-by-number. I think Miuccia Prada's greatest talent is for finding the most unusual colors and fabrics and putting them together in a way you wouldn't expect, but somehow they look quite natural in the end. Can you pull off a Prada parrot skirt?

Another great Dries design...

The piece is very wearable as either a blouse or jacket. I think it fits nicely into the category of fall florals and could also be worn into the winter, when a splash of bright color always stands out in a sea of dark & drab hues.

Dries Please!

Tired of seeing your handbag on the arms of other girls? I don't think you have to worry about that with this sequined delight from Dries van Noten, a little known label that produces just a small number of items per season. His habit of using the MOST gorgeous materials has made the Belgian's pieces quite coveted at The Closet for a few years now, especially since the man simply refuses to expand his beloved bohemian/intellectual brand. As you can see this is a large bag, but the fabric is a sturdy canvas trimmed with patent leather, so it's not going to weigh you down. I think an iBook would fit nicely in here as well. Thanks Dries!

Lanvin Dress

We have a combination of these two Lanvin dresses from SS 2007! The Closet's version is a smokey grey color, size 40. It has lots of properly placed pockets and zippers, as well as the requisite belt, so your waist will hopefully look as little as Valentina's!

Lovely Louboutin

These Sz 39 espadrilles were barely on the floor for 5 minutes before they were snatched up by the next person who walked in the store. Lucky!

Marni Skirt

Marni makes wonderful prints. It is definitely one of the most coveted brands in the shop, and we receive pieces of it from as far away as San Francisco! The combination of rose, cream, and French blue gives the skirt a perfect vintage look.
