Rei Kawakubo's collection for H&M
debuted online a couple of days ago, and now that the hubub over the
infamous $349 dress has subsided (It's original Comme des Garcons folks!) I would like to remind you that The Closet always has a wonderful variety of Comme des Garcons at some pretty amazing prices. If you love avant-garde Japanese fashion and are willing to spend some time I can guarantee you will find a treasure. Some of the items snapped up recently included a Junya Watanabe (former apprentice to Kawakubo) navy jacket with a heavenly pillow collar, a perfectly tailored satin suit by CDG, and a rare black Yohji Yamamoto leather clutch.

The Closet accepts designer items (by appointment) that are no more than 1 or 2 years old (with some exceptions of course). Merchandise should be seasonal and in excellent condition. Our consignment period is 60 days, sales are split 50/50, and we mail out checks every month! We are a bit particular about what we accept, so please call 617.536.1919 with questions regarding consignment.
The items displayed may only be purchased in store as it is important to us that you are able to see the item in person. Sorry, but we don't ship!
